Sufficient cooling capacity

Depending on your order, you will receive the pneumococcal vaccines together with the flu vaccines. It is important to ensure sufficient cooling capacity for storage of both vaccines.

If you have insufficient cooling capacity, consider renting or buying extra cooling space or asking a pharmacy to temporarily store vaccines. You can also have the pneumococcal vaccines delivered separately from the flu vaccines.

To determine whether you have sufficient cooling capacity, you should take the following two points into account:

  • You need fewer pneumococcal vaccines per campaign than flu vaccines, because the target group is smaller.
  • The packages of the pneumococcal vaccines are approximately 2.5 times larger than the packages of the flu vaccines and therefore take up more space in the refrigerator.

The volume of 40 vaccines is comparable to 5 liter cartons of milk.
